Some people are not mathematically oriented, and if that describes you then rest assured that there are easier ways to perform distance conversion.  A distance conversion calculator or a distance conversion table might be what helps you make the switch to metric conversion.  

A distance conversion calculator, which can be online or an actual hand-held calculator with a conversion function, makes distance conversion a snap, because you simply plug in the numbers and it does the math for you.  A distance conversion table can be printed out before you take your trip, and you can simply carry it with you and consult it whenever you need to perform distance conversion to look up the specific conversion you want.

For backpack lovers the one strap backpack my seems a little strange at first, but give it a chance. There are some aspects where the one strap backpack is actually easier and better than a traditional backpack.

Firstly, it is impossible to write about any backpack without first mentioning the importance of the backpack to look after your spine. Carrying anything in your hands or on your shoulder may seem easy, but it is not good for you. Next time you are sitting in a café have a look at the people who walk passed. If will not take you long to realise that those people (especially women) who regularly carry a bag will be slightly lopsides. This is due the constant tensing of muscles required when carrying a bag. This is why it is so much healthier to carry a back on your back as it does not affect you walk and hence will not be damaging for your back, hips or knees.

There is one main issues this a back pack; accessibility. Sometimes you want to quickly be able to access you bag, and when it is a backpack it can take a little longer. This is the first area where the one strap backpack is better. The design allows you to swivel the bag around more easily and you can there for access one or two pockets without taking the bag off.

The second different is security. If you are going somewhere crowded then you can feel a little vulnerable if you belongings are on your back. If can seem as it you are tempting pickpockets. However, with the one strap backpack you can move this around so that the bag is under your arm and then you can will feel if anyone tries to access or grab your bag.

If you are currently a backpack wearer you will be aware of the fact that you often actually one use on of the straps a lot of the time. This is because there is no avoiding the fact that it is significantly quicker to put a bag over one shoulder than two. If you are popping on and off a bus, or shopping and trying on clothes, then it is unlikely that every time you pick up your bag you will put it on both shoulders. So why not have a one strap bag?

There are however, a few problems with the one strap backpack. The shape means that they are not suitable for folders or larger books. Magazines are not an issues, so long as you don’t mind then getting a little bent. Basically the one strap backpack is a triangular bag, and great for throwing in a few essentials, but it is certainly not a school bag and it does have a limited size.
